Spicy Cupcake

The cake is prepared with the addition of honey and spices.

Ingredients

  • Butter (soft) – 250 g
  • Honey – 90 g
  • Large eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Sour cream – 180 g
  • Flour – 300 g
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon.
  • Soda – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – 200 g
  • Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar – 50 g

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 160 degrees. Grease a large cake pan (with a hole in the middle) with a diameter of 25 cm.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter, sugar, honey and vanilla extract until creamy. Add eggs gradually, beating well after each.
  4. Continuing to whisk the butter mixture on a slow speed, add dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream. Put half of the dough into the prepared dish.
  5. Mix sugar, cinnamon and ground ginger. Sprinkle this mixture over the dough in a mold, top with the remaining dough. Place in a preheated oven, bake the spicy cake for 70-80 minutes, until a clean wooden stick is punctured.
  6. Remove the ready-made spicy cake from the oven, draw a knife between the product and the sides of the mold, let the cake cool completely in the mold, and then take it out and transfer it to the wire rack. Serve the spiced cake sprinkled with powdered sugar.
