Ingredients

  • 6 fish fillet (s) (matjes double fillets)
  • 2 cl schnapps (Aquavit)
  • 2 onions)
  • 0.5 ½ cucumber (s)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 100 g quark, 20% fat
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • 1 bunch chives

Instructions

  1. Rinse the matjes, pat dry and chop very finely with a chopping knife, mix with aquavit.
  2. Peel the onion, dice finely. Peel, halve, core and finely dice the cucumber. Cut the ham very small. Mix everything with the herring. Mix the quark and creme fraiche, cut the chives into rolls, add to the herring with the quark cream. Season to taste with aquavit and pepper.
  3. Jacket potatoes taste best with this.
