Spicy Rice with Raisins and Almonds

Ingredients

  • Long grain rice – 100 g
  • Water – 200 g
  • Raisins – 25 g
  • Almonds – 25 g
  • Turmeric – on the tip of a knife
  • Cinnamon – on the tip of a knife
  • Carnation – on the tip of a knife
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Salt – about 1/2 teaspoon or to taste
  • Ground black pepper – on the tip of a knife
  • Butter – 40 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove

How to make spicy rice with raisins and almonds:

Directions

  1. Chop the garlic finely.
  2. Rinse the rice, fold it onto a sieve so that the water glass.
  3. In a frying pan for 10 g of oil, fry the garlic over low heat for literally 20-30 seconds.
  4. Pour the rice into the pan, add the spices.
  5. Fill with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer the rice, covered, over low heat for about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, rinse the raisins and cover them with hot water.
  7. Dry the nuts in the oven and chop with a knife.
  8. The rice is ready when all the water has boiled away.
  9. Add nuts, squeezed raisins, and butter to hot rice. (Butter can be omitted or reduced.)
  10. Toss the spicy rice with raisins and almonds.
  11. Spicy rice with raisins and almonds can be served as a separate dish or as a side dish for meat.
