Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef, e.g., from the shoulder
  • 3 red pepper (s)
  • 3 carrot (s)
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 1 leek
  • 3 potato (s)
  • 500 g tomato (s)
  • 3 glasses tomato peppers with stock
  • 2 glasses Puszta salad with stock
  • 2 cans white beans (400 g)
  • 8 Mettenden
  • 1 tube tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Chilli powder
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef to the size of a goulash and sear it in the pan. Dice peppers, dice onions and cut carrots into slices. Add everything and fry with it. Cut the leek into rings and add, cook for 10 minutes. Dice tomatoes, add and sauté briefly.
  2. Put everything in a large saucepan. Add the tomato peppers including the stock and simmer until the beef is tender (about an hour). In the meantime add the grated potatoes. Add the Puszta salad including the stock, the halved meatballs, tomato paste, 500 ml water and the drained white beans. Season to taste with pepper, paprika powder, chili powder and salt.
  3. It also tastes wonderfully piquant the next day. Unbeatable in small quantities as party soup, then the meatballs should be cut into slices beforehand.
