Ingredients

  • 300 g white bread, stale
  • 125 ml milk
  • 800 g spinach
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 egg (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 80 g butter
  • 4 tablespoon parmesan, grated
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cut bread into small pieces, moisten with milk as required. Wash the spinach well and cook it in salted water, strain and squeeze out well, then strain. Melt the butter, sauté the finely chopped clove of garlic and onion, add the spinach and steam for 5 minutes. Add the eggs and spinach to the bread, mix well, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg, add the flour and breadcrumbs. Shape the mixture into small dumplings and cook gently in salted water for about 15 minutes.
  2. Then sprinkle with parmesan and serve with melted butter.
