Ingredients

  • 250 g penne
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 handful rocket
  • 2 tablespoon processed cheese (Alsatian onion tart)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ rosemary
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ soy sauce
  • 0.5 ½ cup broth
  • pepper
  • Chili powder
  • Parmesan, grated
  • Curry powder
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • possibly cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne in salted water as usual.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into strips. Wash the spinach and rocket and chop them into small pieces.
  3. Fry the chicken in olive oil and add the spinach with rocket. When the vegetables have crumbled, add the rosemary, chilli powder, pepper and soy sauce and simmer briefly. Deglaze with half a cup of stock and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat so that the liquid evaporates a little. Now stir in the processed cheese.
  4. When the penne is al dente, drain and fold into the sauce. If you like, you can stir in some cream. Scatter parmesan on top.
  5. This recipe may have an unusual combination of spices for some. But I like to experiment and this creation is a success for my palate.

  7. If you can`t get the Alsatian onion cake processed cheese, you can also fry some bacon with onions and add simple processed cheese.
