Ingredients

  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 300 g spinach leaves, fresh or frozen
  • 1 pack cannelloni
  • 2 small onions
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • 2 cans tomato (s), (pizza tomatoes)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder
  • Basil, fresh or dried
  • Oregano, fresh or dried
  • Cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Chop the onions and fry them in a pan in a little olive oil. Add the minced meat and fry well. Finally add the finely chopped garlic cloves and the chopped spinach and fry a little more. Stir and season with salt, pepper, paprika and herbs. Let everything cool down.
  2. In the meantime, make the bechamel sauce. To do this, melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour, sweat until lightly, add milk while stirring and bring to the boil. Stir well so that there are no lumps. Gradually add enough milk until the sauce is nice and creamy. Add the pizza tomatoes, then season the sauce with salt, pepper, nutmeg and the Italian herbs.
  3. Fill the bottom of a baking dish with the sauce. Fill the cannelloni with the minced meat and spinach mixture, place in the baking dish and cover with the remaining sauce. Bake for about 40 minutes at 200 ° C (top and bottom heat). After 30 minutes, spread the cheese on the cannelloni and finish baking.
