Ingredients

  • 250 g spinach leaves, frozen
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 40 g diced ham, lean
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 6 egg (s), size S
  • 100 g whole rain bread
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen spinach.
  2. Finely dice the onions and mash the garlic. Fry the ham in heated oil. Add spinach, onions and garlic and sauté. Mix in the cream cheese and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Divide the spinach mixture in a greased muffin tin into 6 wells and make a small indentation in the middle. Beat the eggs one after the other and place 1 egg in the center of the recess. Season with a little salt and pepper and cook in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Cut the wholemeal bread into strips, place in the oven and bake for 5 minutes until crispy. Arrange the spinach nests with the bread strips and serve.
