Ingredients

  • 500 g spinach leaves, frozen
  • 2 onions)
  • 30 g butter
  • 250 g minced beef
  • 80 g rice
  • 500 ml beef broth, homemade or instant
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch allspice
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ paprika powder, mild
  • 2 cups yogurt

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely chop the onions. Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the minced meat and fry over high heat until the juice has evaporated and the meat browns slightly. Switch to medium heat.
  2. Rinse rice in a sieve and mix with the minced meat. Fold in the spinach and thaw while stirring. Stir in the broth, pepper, allspice and paprika powder and bring everything to the boil briefly. Let cook for 30 to 40 minutes.
  3. Hang the pointed sieve over a bowl and insert a coffee filter bag. Pour in the yogurt and let it drain for about 20 minutes. Put the yogurt in a bowl. Season the spinach and minced meat mixture well with salt and pepper. Serve with yogurt and flatbread.
