by Editorial Staff

Despite the seeming complexity of the recipe, it is actually quite simple to make such a cake. In addition, such a cake looks very cute, for a children’s party – the very thing!

Sponge Cake with Jelly Instructions

  1. Beat eggs with sugar using a mixer or by hand in a deep glass bowl until a thick, fluffy foam is formed. Add pre-softened butter there and pour in 100 ml. milk. Pour flour and baking powder in small portions. You should get a dough of medium thickness, like for muffins.
  2. Cover the baking container with waxed paper, pour out the dough and bake for 30 minutes in the oven until the crust is browned.
  3. Heat the yogurt in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly and evenly so that it does not stratify. Add one pack (25 g) of gelatin to warm (but not hot!) Yogurt, stir until it dissolves.
  4. To create the base of the cake (crust), a non-stick form with removable sides is ideal, which should be previously wrapped with cling film. Put the ready-made and already cooled biscuit into the mold. Fill it with yogurt. We send to freeze in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

  5. The remaining 100 ml. milk, which should be heated, dissolve 25 g of gelatin. The consistency of the mixture should resemble thick sour cream. Add strawberry puree there.
  6. After two hours, we take out the biscuit from the refrigerator, put the strawberries cut in half and fill everything with strawberry puree. We send it back to the refrigerator for another two hours, after which the cake is ready!

Bon appetit!
