“Spread” of Herring, Processed Cheese and Carrots

by Editorial Staff

Incredibly delicious cold fish appetizer – a “spread” of salted herring, processed cheese and boiled carrots.

Cook: 30 mins

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Lightly salted herring fillet – 2 pcs.
  • Carrots (small) – 3 pcs.
  • Processed cheese – 100 g (1 pc.)
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare herring, cream cheese, and carrot snack foods. Set the carrots to cook for 20 minutes, until tender.
  2. Cut the butter into pieces.
  3. Twist the herring, processed cheese and butter in a meat grinder. (Boiled eggs can be used instead of butter, if desired.)
  4. Cool the finished carrots, peel.
  5. Also twist in a meat grinder. In a blender, this should not be done, the blender interrupts everything into a homogeneous paste, and the meat grinder leaves pieces that look very tasty and attractive in the finished dish, in addition, this affects the taste.
  6. Pepper the herring, cream cheese and carrot spread and stir.
  7. Place the herring appetizer in a jar, close the lid and refrigerate for a while to mix the flavors.
  8. Serve the prepared herring, cream cheese, and carrot spread as a cold snack.

Bon Appetit!
