Stew with Canned Beans and Smoked Meats

An easy-to-prepare dish of canned beans in tomato sauce with smoked meats. The dish is very hearty and tasty, filled with aromas of bacon and hunting sausages. Onions and carrots add juiciness and balance the flavor of the smoked meats. The perfect solution for a quick dinner!

Ingredients

  • Canned beans in tomato sauce (white) – 400 g (1 can)
  • Hunting sausages – 300 g
  • Raw smoked bacon – 100 g
  • Onion – 190 g (1 large)
  • Carrots – 210 g (1 large)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for serving, optional) – 1-2 sprigs

Directions

  1. Cut the bacon into small pieces.
  2. Fry the bacon in a preheated skillet without oil for 4-5 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Peel the onions and carrots, rinse and cut into small cubes.
  4. Spread the onions and carrots with the bacon and fry for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
  5. Cut the hunting sausages into medium circles.
  6. Add beans, sauce and sausages to fried vegetables and bacon. Stir, bring to a boil, reduce heat to minimum, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. During the stewing process, try and add salt if necessary.
  7. Serve hot stew with canned beans and smoked meats as an independent dish. If desired, you can serve it with fresh herbs, vegetables or pickles.
