Probably everyone at least once in his life cooked stewed potatoes with meat. I propose to cook this dish in a new way – with minced meat! The potatoes are very aromatic, and the minced meat is juicy. Very satisfying and delicious dinner or lunch!
Ingredients
Minced meat – 200 g
Large potatoes – 3-4 pcs.
Large carrots – 1 pc.
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Tomato – 1 pc.
Tomato paste – 1-2 teaspoon
Bay leaf – 1 pc.
Salt – 0.25 teaspoon
Seasoning for meat – 1 teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil – 2-3 tbsp
Water – 300-400 ml
Directions
Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
Peel the carrots and cut them into quarters.
Heat a skillet with vegetable oil. Fry the onions over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for a couple of minutes (until transparent). Add carrots to the onion.
Fry the carrots and onions for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally. Add minced meat.
Fry for 10-15 minutes, stirring and breaking the minced meat lumps, until all the liquid has evaporated.
Cut the tomato into small pieces.
Add the tomato to the pan. Warm-up a minute.
Add tomato paste to the minced meat, add bay leaves, salt, freshly ground pepper, and seasoning for meat.
Stir and simmer covered over low heat for 5 minutes.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters or octopuses (depending on the size of the tubers).
Add potatoes to minced meat.
Pour in water to practically cover the minced potatoes.
Simmer potatoes with minced meat, covered for 20-25 minutes. It is advisable that the potatoes are not boiled.
It is best to serve stewed potatoes with minced meat with pickles or a salad of fresh vegetables.
