Ingredients

  • 180 g butter
  • 150 g powdered suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 225 grams flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 5 tablespoon milk

For painting:

  • 6 egg whites
  • 200 g powdered suar

For the cream:

  • 500 ml whipped cream
  • 3 tablespoon jam, strawberry
  • 4 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 packs cream stabilizer
  • 500 g strawberries
  • Powdered sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. For the dough, stir the butter, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until foamy and gradually add the egg yolks, stirring constantly.
  2. Mix the flour with baking powder, sieve over it and stir in with the milk.
  3. Spread the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Briefly whip the egg white, slowly pour in the sugar and beat until stiff.
  5. Spread the egg whites evenly on the dough and bake in the lower half of the preheated oven at 180 degrees top / bottom heat for about half an hour, the surface of the egg whites should be nice and light brown!
  6. For the cream, briefly whip the well-chilled whipped cream with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar, then add 3 tablespoons of jam and 2 packs of cream stiffener and whip until stiff.
  7. Carefully fold in the cleaned, washed and chopped strawberries.
  8. Halve the pastry, brush with the cream and assemble.
  9. Then cut into slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
