Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries, freshly harvested
  • 1 kg preserving sugar
  • 1 lemon (s), untreated, the peel thinly peeled off
  • 3 tablespoon Cognac, or Curacao

Instructions

  1. Mix the picked, washed, stalk and blossom removed strawberries with the preserving sugar and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  2. The next day bring to the boil together with the lemon zest while stirring. Let simmer for 4 minutes. Remove the lemon peel and stir in the cognac or curacao.
  3. Pour the still hot jam into glasses and close tightly.
