Instructions

  1. First they peel the apples, cut out the core and grate them. Sprinkle some lemon juice over the grated apples so they don`t turn brown.
  2. For the batter, add the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and eggs to the mixing bowl. The margarine should be nice and soft, I always put it in the microwave for a short time. Add the margarine to the other ingredients in the mixing bowl and knead everything for 5 minutes to a nice batter. The dough can then be processed immediately.
  3. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the batter evenly. Now put the grated apples row by row into the batter. Now bake in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for about 30 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, they make the sprinkles. To do this, put 250 g of flour, 125 g of butter and 150 g of sugar in the mixing bowl (butter should be nice and soft) and knead everything, it`s best done with your hands. Always crumble nicely until you have streusel.
  5. After 15 minutes they take the cake out of the stove and pour the streusel over it. Then bake for another 15 minutes.
