Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 250 g spinach (frozen)
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 1 onion (s), finely chopped
  • 1 egg (s)
  • anchovy paste
  • Bread flour
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • coriander
  • Garlic
  • Paprika powder
  • chili
  • Caraway
  • 1 pack ready mix for dumpling dough
  • water (according to package instructions)
  • 1 bunch spring onion (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot or chilli

Instructions

  1. Knead the minced meat with the chopped onion, the egg, breadcrumbs and the spices of your choice. Cut the feta cheese into small cubes, mix with the defrosted spinach and season with salt. You can vary the amounts yourself as you wish.
  2. Line a loaf pan with approx. 3/4 of the minced meat, press it down and pull up the edges so that the filling does not run out later when you cut it. Place the ham over the minced meat and cut a little if necessary.
  3. Pour in the spinach mixture and cover the top again with ham. Cover everything with the remaining minced meat and press down well so that the packet is well sealed. Bake at 200 ° C for 1 hour.
  4. During this time you can easily prepare small potato pancakes. Mix the dumpling powder with water according to the instructions on the packet, season well with salt, pepper and possibly a little chilli, then add the spring onions. Shape into small, flat pancakes and sauté slowly until golden yellow.
  5. I served it with a homemade dip made from mayonnaise and cream cheese. This recipe is also very easy to prepare and later put in the oven.
