Ingredients

  • 1 can beans (broad beans - fava beans)
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 large beefsteak tomato (s)
  • 5 tablespoon oil (peanut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 teaspoon broth
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • 1 handful sheep cheese
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Put the canned beans in a colander and rinse well. Dice the onion and fry in the peanut oil in a saucepan. As soon as it is lightly browned, add the pressed garlic clove. Then add the chopped tomato to the saucepan and let it simmer until the tomato pieces are soft.
  2. Chop the whole thing with a hand blender and add the beans. Add a cup of water and the spices and simmer for 15 minutes. Mash some of the beans and stir in the peanut butter until the beans are thickened.
  3. Serve the beans on a plate, pour oil over them and sprinkle with crushed sheep cheese and cumin. Flatbread is served with it, which serves as cutlery.
