Sugar Cookies with Icing

A dream since childhood – to cook beautiful and delicious sugar cookies in the glaze! I did it, and you can do it!

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Soft butter – 100 g
  • Flour – 200 g
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Vanilla extract – 2-3 drops

For icing:

  • Protein – 1 pc.
  • Powdered sugar – 150-200 g
  • Lemon juice – a few drops

Instructions

  1. Beat butter (soft) with sugar and a few drops of vanilla extract. Beat well and, without stopping, add the egg and yolk. Add flour and knead into a soft cookie dough. We put the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the finished dough into a thin layer (4 mm thick). It is best to roll it out (so as not to stick) between films or parchment.
  3. We will use the cookie cutters. Today we will have a coffee theme! We bake sugar cookies in a preheated oven for 15 minutes, temperature – 200 degrees.
  4. We will make the icing for decoration by mixing egg white and icing sugar. And add a few drops of lemon juice.
  5. Apply a contour to the cooled cookies using a pastry bag. When the contour dries up, fill all the free space with a glaze and level it with a special needle (or toothpick).
  6. You can decorate as you like, as your fantasy allows you! These handmade cookies will always be delicious!
