Ingredients

  • 350 g spelled flour, (whole rain)
  • salt
  • 10 g yeast, fresh
  • 60 g cane suar
  • 200 ml milk, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and salt, make a well and crumble the yeast into it. Add the sugar and half of the milk and stir with the yeast until smooth. Let rise for 15 minutes. Add the rest of the milk and knead everything into a smooth dough. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Knead the dough briefly, then form 6 balls. Press a hole in each ball with your thumb. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
  3. Half fill a large saucepan with boiling water. Keep the temperature a little below the boiling point. Put the rings in the water for a minute until they rise to the surface. Turn over and leave in the water for another half a minute. Drain on a kitchen towel.
  4. Then place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and dust with a little flour. Bake at 200 ° C on the 2nd rack from the bottom for 20-25 minutes. Turn after 10 minutes.
