Ingredients

  • 1 kg sweet potato (s)
  • 5 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 medium onion (s)
  • 5 tablespoon condensed milk
  • Salt and pepper, black, ground
  • Chili powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the sweet potato and cut into cubes. Cook for 10 minutes in enough water (should cover the sweet potato pieces) until soft (the cooking time depends heavily on the size of the cubes). In a separate saucepan or pan, heat the olive oil, add the chopped onion and fry it.
  2. When the sweet potato is soft, drain the water and either mash the sweet potato with a fork, press it through a sieve, or pass it through the meat grinder to make a puree. Put this puree back into the saucepan, add the condensed milk and the onions with the oil and stir well. If necessary, heat again. Then season with salt and pepper and chili powder and stir well.
  3. It is suitable for vegetarians with a salad (very tasty with lamb`s lettuce) or as an accompaniment to meat.
