Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 large bell pepper (s)
  • 1 large zucchini
  • 600 g tofu or chicken breast
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 70 ml teriyaki sauce or soy sauce
  • 3 sachets rice
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 pinch (s) pepper

Instructions

  1. First, dice the tofu or the chicken breast, depending on which you have chosen.
  2. Sear it in a pan, season with salt and pepper. Add the soy or teriyaki sauce and the honey, possibly use a little less sauce if you are not familiar with the sauce, as it has a strong taste of its own. Stir everything well a few times and simmer for about 5 minutes. Mix again and use tongs to remove the tofu or chicken cubes from the pan so that the sauce remains.
  3. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the packet so that everything is ready at about the same time.
  4. Dice paprika and zucchini. Also dice the onion, but a little finer. Mix everything in the pan with the sauce. Press the two cloves of garlic through a garlic press or chop them very finely and add them to the pan. Let everything simmer for a while until the vegetables are a little softer.
  5. Add the tofu or chicken cubes to the pan with the vegetables and mix everything together, simmer for another 2 minutes and the dish is ready.
  6. Now you can either add the rice to the pan or, like me, first add the rice to the bowl and then spread the vegetable-tofu or chicken mixture on top.
