Ingredients

  • 500 g tomatoes, passed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 ¼ bunch thyme
  • 0.5 ½ bunch basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg
  • 1 onion (s)

Instructions

  1. Set up a saucepan and sauté the finely diced onion with the garlic.
  2. Add the tomatoes to the saucepan and simmer over medium heat. Pluck the herbs from the stalk and chop them into small pieces. They can also be added to the pot at the same time. Bring to the boil briefly and then remove the pot from the plate. Season to taste with sugar, pepper, salt and nutmeg.
  3. Let it steep for about 10 - 15 minutes and let it simmer again briefly before use. Sauces usually taste better when they are warmed up the second time.
  4. If you like, you can add some parmesan to the sauce, then it will be tastier and a little creamier.
