Tomato Soup with Rice

Ingredients

  • Rice – 150 g
  • Tomato paste – 3 tablespoons
  • Bulgarian pepper – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Potatoes – 3-4 pcs.
  • Pepper mixture – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – 2 l
  • Greens to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic – 2 teeth
  • Bay leaf – 1-2 pcs.

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients for the tomato and rice soup.
  2. Wash the rice until the water is clear. Cover with water and put on fire.
  3. Peel potatoes, cut into large cubes and add to the saucepan to the rice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and skim. Cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Fry onions in vegetable oil until transparent.
  5. Peel the carrots, cut into cubes, add to the onion. Simmer for 3 minutes together.
  6. Pepper to clear of seeds and stalks, cut into cubes, fry with onions and carrots for a couple of minutes.
  7. Add tomato paste.
  8. Add thinly chopped garlic.
  9. Pour in all the spices.
  10. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  11. Add frying to the soup, salt to taste. Boil tomato soup with rice for another 5-7 minutes.
  12. Finally, add chopped greens to the tomato soup with rice.
