Ingredients

  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can tomato (s), cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 glass red wine (0. l)
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 small chilli pepper (s)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • salt and pepper
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and garlic, dice finely and sauté in the hot oil in a shallow, wide saucepan or in a deep pan, but do not let the color change. Add the tomatoes and their juice, stir in the tomato paste and fill up with red wine. Add the rosemary, chilli pepper and oregano. Salt and pepper. Now let the sauce simmer without the lid on the lowest setting for at least 30 minutes. Always add a dash of red wine and water alternately.
  2. At the end the sauce should be very thick, almost like a soft, spreadable paste and smell aromatic.
  3. Is served with pasta and can also be used as a pizza topping.
