Ingredients

  • 1 small cucumber (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • 0.5 kg ½ yogurt, Greek, more solid
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Peel the cucumber, grate it finely in a sieve, lightly salt and drain for about 10 minutes. Peel the garlic and press it through the garlic press. Put the yogurt in a bowl.
  2. Squeeze the wet grated cucumber vigorously with your hand to drain as much liquid as possible and then mix it with the garlic into the yogurt. Carefully pour in the vinegar and oil, stirring constantly.
  3. Depending on your taste, wash the parsley or dill, pluck the leaves off, chop some of them into small pieces and stir into the mixture.
  4. Smooth out the tzaziki and place in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Before serving, garnish the tzaziki with the remaining parsley or dill leaves and possibly a few black olives.
