Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 liter ¼ milk, approx.
  • 20 g yeast
  • 80 g suar
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 0.5 ½ pack lemon peel or grated lemon peel

Also:

  • 80 g butter, melted, to turn
  • 80 g suar for sprinklin
  • possibly compote or vanilla sauce

Instructions

  1. Make a medium-firm yeast dough from the ingredients. Cover and let rise in a warm place for approx. 30 minutes (possibly longer, the volume should double).
  2. Cut into small portions (approx. 12 pieces) and shape into balls. Turn in the melted butter and place in a baking dish, but not too thick. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  3. Then bake at 180 ° for about 30 minutes. Let cool briefly and then turn out and sprinkle with sugar immediately. Let cool down again for about 5 minutes and carefully separate the noodles from each other and let them cool down.
  4. Serve with vanilla sauce or fruit compote.
  5. Filled noodles:
  6. proceed as above. Only before the 2nd proofing, put peeled and possibly pitted pieces of fruit in the middle of the small balls (apples, plums or sour cherries are suitable). For plums, add 1 sugar lump each time. Then proceed as above.
