Instructions

  1. First the filling should be prepared. To do this, roughly grate the apples and mix with the sugar and cinnamon. Simmer for about 10 minutes and then let cool down.
  2. Mix all ingredients for the dough. First add the flour at the end.
  3. Note: At the end the dough must have such a consistency that it can be shaped with it. Therefore a lot of flour is required. Approximately a good 500 g - possibly a little more or less.
  4. As soon as the dough has become malleable, tear off pieces the size of a walnut. Place on the table and press flat and round with your fingers. Put 1 teaspoon of the filling on top and close it from side to side (unfortunately I don`t have a picture of it, but it looks something like a D). Place the apple turnovers on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes. But it is better not to orientate yourself according to the time, but to the color of the apple turnovers - as soon as they have a slightly pinkish color, then you can take them out of the oven.
  6. Mix 5-6 tablespoons of powdered sugar with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a plate and turn the apple turnovers.
