Ingredients

  • 300 g smoked pork, boneless
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 500 g turnip (s)
  • 500 g carrot (s)
  • 2 tablespoon butter, or margarine
  • 375 ml vegetable stock, instant
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ thyme, dried or fresh
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Roughly dice the smoked pork chops, finely dice the onion, peel the carrots and cut into slices and dice the turnips (be generous when peeling)
  2. Now melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the diced onion until translucent. Now add the smoked pork chops and braise briefly. Then add the prepared vegetables and stew briefly as well. Then deglaze everything with the vegetable stock, add the thyme and cook over a low heat for about 20 to 25 minutes, everything should still be firm to the bite. Finally, season with salt and pepper.
  3. When serving, you can add a teaspoon of sour cream to each serving.
