  • 500 g Kasseler
  • 1 kg turnip (s)
  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • thyme
  • 125 ml cream or milk

Instructions

  1. Wash the meat and bring to the boil in 1.5 liters of salted water. Cut the washed and peeled turnips into sticks and add to the meat. Cook for 80 to 90 minutes, until the liquid has boiled off. Cut the potatoes into sticks and add to the turnips 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Take the meat out of the pot and cut it into cubes. Season the stew with salt, pepper and thyme and add the milk or cream. Mix in the meat cubes and heat them briefly.
