Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 4 packs vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the starch, sugar and vanilla sugar with a little cold milk until smooth, then bring the remaining milk to the boil in a small saucepan. Mix in the starch, stirring constantly, and stir until the mixture bubbles and thickens. Bring to the boil a few more times and remove from the hotplate. Rinse the portion molds or a large bowl with cold water, pour in the mixture and keep as cold as possible. Turn the flammeri out before serving.
  2. You can choose to serve the Flammeri with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or red grits.
  3. Note: The starch must really have completely dissolved in the milk and there must be no more lumps, otherwise these form rubber-like balls in the milk. It is best to brush through a hair sieve.
  4. The vanilla sugar can be replaced with other flavoring ingredients, such as lemon juice or chocolate powder.
