Ingredients

  • 700 g onion (s)
  • 200 g smoked tofu
  • 30 g veetable mararine, vean
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or other vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon sugar or raw cane sugar
  • 1 large tomato (s)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 ½ liters boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable stock powder
  • Garlic, fresh, or garlic granules
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly cream substitute, e.g., Soy cream for cooking

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the smoked tofu, cut the onions into thin strips. Fry both in a large saucepan with the oil and butter.
  2. Deglaze with the water as soon as the onions are translucent or lightly browned to taste. Bring to the boil and add the vegetable stock, tomato paste and sugar. Let it simmer and stir occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, finely dice the tomato and fresh garlic and add. Season to taste with salt and pepper, refine with a dollop of soy cream to serve.
