Vegetable Stew “Juicy” with Pork

Sometimes you want to diversify recipes for second courses. Maybe someone else does not know how to cook vegetable stew, and those who do – accept my offer to cook it according to my recipe. Vegetable stew with meat will certainly delight you with its taste and aroma.

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • Pork (or beef) – 300 g
  • Potatoes – 3-4 pcs.
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Tomato – 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian pepper (red) – 1 pc.
  • White cabbage (small) – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Marinate the meat in advance. To do this, cut the meat into cubes. Chop the onion and garlic in a blender, add to the meat and leave for 20 minutes. For convenience, immediately cut all the ingredients into cubes and the cabbage into squares.
  2. First, you need to cut the cabbage into two parts and then carefully cut it into small squares.
  3. We start to fry our chopped ingredients.
  4. Fry the meat for the vegetable stew in a pan using vegetable oil and a piece of butter.
  5. When the meat acquires a golden crust, transfer it to a saucepan.
  6. Next, put the diced potatoes in a pan with vegetables and butter. Salt the potatoes a little, pepper, and fry until golden brown.
  7. Put the fried potatoes in a saucepan with the meat.
  8. Then fry the cabbage, cut into squares, and add a little salt, fry until a light golden crust appears.
  9. Put the cabbage in a saucepan. Separately, in a kettle, I advise you to boil about 1-1.5 liters of water in order to pour our vegetables with non-cold water.
  10. Next, fry the carrot cubes, to which we add bell pepper squares and tomato cubes. You can salt everything a little. Mix well and put in a saucepan.
  11. All the ingredients for the Pork Vegetable Stew are now in the pot. Add boiled hot water so that it is slightly visible among the vegetables, but does not cover them on top. Our vegetables will additionally release juice and cook in it.
  12. Cover with a lid and set on fire to boil the water. When the broth boils, we reduce the cooking temperature and begin to simmer the vegetable stew with pork until fully cooked.
  13. During cooking, you can gently stir the stew and taste the broth with salt.
  14. After 7-10 minutes, taste the potatoes and meat for readiness. Making sure the stew is sufficiently salted and cooked. Turn off the stove and let the vegetable stew steep a little.
  15. The final step will be to put the vegetable stew with meat on portioned plates and please your household.
