Delicious dinner made from simple ingredients. Vegetables go very well with Viennese sausages. Such a hearty dish is not at all difficult to prepare; it will perfectly diversify your menu.
Ingredients
Vienna sausages (or others) – 300 g
Potatoes – 1.2 kg
White cabbage – 500 g
Sweet pepper – 150 g
Diced tomatoes in their own juice – 1 can (400 ml)
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Vegetable oil – for frying
Dried thyme – 1 teaspoon
Sugar (optional) – 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
Peel the potatoes and onions.
Cut the onion into small pieces.
Cut the potatoes into cubes.
Peel the bell peppers and cut them into strips.
We chop the cabbage medium-sized.
In a deep large frying pan or stewpan, fry potatoes and onions in vegetable oil for 3-4 minutes.
Add cabbage, bell pepper, thyme, salt, and black pepper. We mix. Pour in 250 ml of water.
Simmer potatoes with cabbage and bell peppers, covered for about 20 minutes.
Add tomatoes. Add sugar if desired. Add salt if necessary. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Cut the sausages into slices.
Add sausages to vegetables and heat them literally for 1-2 minutes.
