Ingredients

  • 250 g oat flakes, crunchy
  • 250 g herb quark
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 125 g Edam cheese, rated
  • Herbs your choice, chopped, e.g., parsley, coriander etc.
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Put the oatmeal, herb quark, onion, eggs and cheese in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until you get a homogeneous mixture. Cover and leave to soak in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. After the swelling time, season to taste with pepper and herbs. Use salt with care, as the herb quark is usually sufficient.
  3. Now shape the meatballs and fry them very slowly in a pan in hot olive oil. It is important to keep the heat low, otherwise everything will burn in no time! The roasting time is approx. 4 - 5 minutes per side.
