Ingredients

  • 100 g suar
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 ml cream
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 175 g flour
  • 1 packet custard powder (vanilla)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 shot mineral water
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

Instructions

  1. Put the butter in a small saucepan and let it melt a little over medium heat. Add 100 g sugar and bring to the boil while stirring. Deglaze with the cream and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then take the pot off the stove and let it cool down a little.
  2. In the meantime, mix the flour with baking powder, pudding powder and a pinch of salt. Beat the eggs and 50 g sugar with a whisk until frothy. Pour in the lightly caramelized butter cream and stir in. Finally add the flour mixture and stir vigorously until it becomes smooth. Then add a dash of mineral water (about 50 ml).
  3. Bake the dough in portions in a hot waffle iron on a high setting.
  4. Sufficient for approx. 10 waffles.
  5. Tip: Possibly you can also add very thinly sliced apple strips.
  6. The caloric value relates to a waffle.
