Walnut – Vanilla Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Put the freshly cracked walnuts with the tonka beans, the sliced vanilla pods and the honey in a sealable container. Pour the alcohol on top and leave to mature in a warm place for 4 - 6 weeks. Stir it often.
  2. After this time, filter the mixture (the nuts taste great as a cake filling, so don`t throw them away!) And let the liqueur mature in the dark for another 12 weeks, now stop stirring so that the suspended particles and fat can settle out of the nuts, then again filter.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
