  • 1 kg apples
  • 1 handful sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Beat the sugar and eggs until frothy. Add the sifted flour with the baking powder and continue beating. Add the salt and vanilla sugar.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter. Stir the hot butter and milk into the batter. The batter is very runny, similar to pancake batter.
  3. Now use the cucumber slicer to slice the peeled, pitted apples into the dough. There are roughly the same number of apples as there are dough.
  4. Place in a springform pan (seal with aluminum foil if necessary) and bake in a preheated oven at 190 ° C top / bottom heat for 45 minutes. Halfway through the baking time, sprinkle a few slivers of almonds and a little more sugar over the cake, possibly also herbs from Provence.
