Ingredients

  • 1 kg carrot (s)
  • 750 g potato (s), floury boilin
  • 1 piece (s) beef, (leg slice)
  • 4 sausages, smoked
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley, chopped
  • 1 apple, more tart
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring the leg slice and the sausages to the boil in sufficient salted water and cook the meat until soft. Then add the chopped carrots, apples and potatoes and cook for another 30 minutes.
  2. Take out the meat and sausages and drain some of the broth, but keep. Pound the contents of the pot to the desired consistency. If necessary, add some broth again. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove the meat from the bone, cut into small pieces and mix in. Cut the sausages into slices or serve them whole. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
  3. It also tastes very good if you fry the grützwurst sausage in a pan with onion rings until crispy and top it over the carrot mess! But then leave out the sausages.
