Instructions

  1. Heat the buttermilk, yeast and turnip tops in a large saucepan (do not heat them because of the yeast). Mix the remaining ingredients well beforehand and add to the heated mass. Mix everything together well. The dough remains relatively fluid. Grease several shapes and sprinkle with oat flakes. Pour in the dough, let rise for 10-15 minutes and then bake. 3 hours at 130-150 degrees C and then another 1/2 hour at 100 degrees C.
  2. Tip: I get the flour types, sesame, sunflower seeds and flax seeds straight from the mill. It`s cheap there and the ingredients are fresh.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
