Many people will like the unusual taste of loaves (rolls). It is also good as an afternoon snack for children and is suitable for lunch and dinner. But what about sandwiches made from such bread? Delicious! And it’s not hard to cook at all!
Ingredients
Integral flour (whole grain) – 300 g
White flour – 200 g
Carrots – 200 g
Fresh yeast – 40 g
Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
Milk – 200 ml
Sugar – 2 tablespoons
Salt – 2 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
Hard cheese – 120 g
Peeled sunflower seeds – 25 g
Peeled walnuts – 25 g
Directions
Rub the cheeses on a fine grater. You can easily get by with one variety, but as always I tried to get rid of the leftovers. Peel and finely grate the carrots. Put both flour, salt, and ground black pepper in a bowl.
We dilute yeast and sugar in warm milk. Add to flour. Add vegetable oil. Stir with a fork. Add carrots. We mix. Add cheese, mix again.
We dump the dough on the table sprinkled with flour. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. It should become homogeneous, elastic, but soft enough.
Divide the dough into 12 pieces, make balls. Put it on a baking sheet, on baking paper, make cuts on the dough. There should be some space between the balls. We leave to come up for 2-3 hours.
Grease each bun with milk. Sprinkle half with peeled seeds, half with chopped walnuts. You can also use sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and almonds. In general, as always, what you love or what is at hand.
We bake bread from whole grain flour at 200 g for about 30-40 minutes. Wholegrain bread made with carrots.
