Whole Wheat Bread with Honey

by Editorial Staff

Whole wheat bread made from yeast dough with honey is very easy to make at home. Distinctive features of such bread are bright wheat aroma with honey notes and light sweetness. In addition, this bread hardly crumbles, it is soft and porous. I especially like it when combined with milk.

  3. The dough should be soft, not clogged with flour. It may even stick slightly to your hands.
  4. We put the dough in a container, cover with foil and leave in a warm place for 40-60 minutes. The dough should increase significantly in size.
  5. Sprinkle the working surface with flour, put the dough there, knead it slightly, and round it again, forming bread.
  6. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, sprinkle with flour, and put the bread there. Cover with a towel or foil (but not too tight so that the bread has the opportunity to rise). We leave in a warm place for 20-30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 190-200 degrees 10-15 minutes before the end of the proofing.
  7. We bake the bread for about 35 minutes. The readiness of the bread can be checked with a wooden skewer – after piercing the bread, the skewer should remain dry. Remove the finished whole grain wheat bread with honey from the oven, cover with a towel, and leave to cool.
