Ingredients
- 600 g wholemeal spelled flour
- 400 ml sparkling mineral water
- 1 sachet dry yeast or a cube fresh yeast
- 2 tablespoon bread spice mixture
- 2 teaspoons salt (Himalayan salt) or 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 80 g walnuts
- 2 tablespoon oatmeal
- 2 tablespoon seeds about chia seeds, flax seeds
- Caraway seed
- Salt, (salt flakes)

- Chop the walnuts into small pieces. Put all ingredients except the salt flakes and the caraway seeds in a bowl and knead together. Then cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Spread the flakes of salt and caraway seeds on a baking sheet.
- Shape the dough into 8 rolls with moistened hands. Spread the rolls on the baking sheet and press down a little. Sprinkle the salt or caraway seeds on top as a topping and press down a little.
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Notes: The rolls can also be frozen well. The rolls can be defrosted in the oven at 200 ° C within 15 to 20 minutes.
- Depending on your taste, you can of course do without the caraway or salt or use linseed or sunflower seeds.
