Ingredients

  • 4 port. Pork knuckle (s) (2 knuckles, halved, uncured)
  • 2 large onions, roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 800 ml stock (roast stock), mixed instantly or vegetable stock, mixed instantly
  • mustard
  • possibly sauce thickener if required
  • possibly water if required

Instructions

  1. Wash the pork knuckles, then season with salt and pepper. Place in a roasting pan with the stock and the coarsely chopped onions.
  2. Cook open in the preheated oven at 175 ° C top / bottom heat for approx. 3.5 hours. In between, pour the stock from the roaster over and over again. If the stock has boiled over, top up with a little water regularly.
  3. At the end of the cooking time, lift out the pork legs - if necessary, grill them over briefly. Season the gravy with mustard, salt and pepper as desired and thicken with a sauce thickener if necessary. Serve immediately.
