Instructions

  1. First dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk with the sugar and let stand for 15 minutes.
  2. Then knead with the flour, melted butter, oil, eggs and salt to form a smooth, supple dough. Dust the dough lightly with flour and cover it until it has doubled in volume (approx. 1 hour).
  3. When the dough has risen, take it out of the bowl and divide it into 10 equal pieces. Shape each portion into a roll and fold in the middle. By intertwining / looping the two ends, a kind of braid is created.
  4. Place the braids on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cover again for half an hour. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat.
  5. Then bake the braids for 15-20 minutes, depending on the desired browning.
  6. After baking, brush immediately with the liquid butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. You can also freeze the finished, cooled braids. To bake them, you put them in the cold oven and then set it to 160 ° C top / bottom heat for 10 minutes. Then they taste like freshly baked.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
