Zebra Pie Ingredients

  • Eggs – 5 pcs.
  • Sugar – 240-320 g
  • Butter (melt) – 150-200 g
  • Sour cream – 200 ml
  • Soda – 0.5 teaspoon
  • (quench with vinegar)
  • Flour – 250-270 g
  • Cocoa – 2 tbsp

Zebra Pie Instructions

  1. Beat eggs with sugar until white foam.
  2. Add sifted flour, soda (can be extinguished), melted cooled butter, sour cream and mix thoroughly (preferably with a mixer).
  3. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Add 2 tablespoon to one part. tablespoons of flour.
  4. In another 2 tbsp of cocoa.

  5. Stir so that there are no lumps.
  6. The dough should have the consistency of light sour cream.
  7. Grease a wide form (26-28 cm) with oil. Pour into the center alternately small portions of different dough (one tablespoon each). Do not stir!
  8. As a result, you should get the same result as in the photo.
    Bake the Zebra pie in a preheated oven at 190-200 degrees for half an hour. Constantly glancing. If the top of the pie is already baked, but the middle is not yet, cover the pie with foil, reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake the Zebra pie until tender.
  9. I love Zebra Pie just like that. And you can layer it with whipped sour cream with sugar or custard, it will be very tasty!
