Ingredients

  • 50 g butter
  • 5 tablespoon flour, type 40
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (alternatively diluted citric acid)
  • salt
  • 250 g chicken breast fillet (s), cut into strips, par-fried, frozen
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Since it should be quick, this recipe uses ready-made products.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add flour and do not let it brown. Add the egg yolk and stir everything until smooth. Gradually add the chicken broth (e.g. from the glass, mostly concentrated and also available without flavor enhancer or similar) and stir well to prevent lump formation. Season to taste with lemon juice or diluted citric acid and salt and pepper. Finally, fold the pre-fried strips of chicken breast fillet into the sauce (possibly pre-defrost in the microwave for about 30 seconds on the highest setting).
  3. Basmati rice and curry powder are recommended for this.
  4. Variation: In addition, add peas and / or pieces of asparagus or mushroom slices from the glass.
