Ingredients

  • 4 small trout (s), ready to cook, approx. 200 g each
  • salt and pepper
  • 40 grams flour
  • 50 g almond (s), flakes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 50 g butter
  • Lemon (s) - slices

Instructions

  1. Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry completely.
  2. Season the trout inside and out generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the flour on one plate and the almond flakes on another plate.
  4. Coat each trout in flour, shaking off the excess.
  5. Press each floured trout into the almond flakes so they adhere well.
  6. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes until it shimmers.
  7. Place the trout in the pan and fry for 4-5 minutes on the first side, then flip and fry for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the fish cooks, add the butter cut into small pieces and let it melt and brown slightly in the pan.
  9. Arrange the trout on a serving plate and top with lemon slices.
  10. Serve with boiled potatoes or jacket potatoes.
