Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 900 g carrot (s), cleaned and cut into diaonal pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, fresh, grated
  • 220 g suar, brown
  • 150 g nuts (pecans), roasted

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan on the stove over medium heat. Add the carrots and simmer for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the ginger and sugar and simmer for another 2 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Add the pecans and mix with the carrots. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the sugar caramelizes (the carrots should still have a bite).
  3. All types of meat, poultry and potatoes go well with it.
