Instructions

  1. For the dough, pour the buttermilk, sugar, eggs, flour sifted with baking powder and possibly spices into a large bowl and stir well with the hand mixer. Pour the liquid dough into a deep baking sheet lined with paper, smooth it out and bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the butter and sugar in a saucepan, mix in the almonds and milk and possibly vanilla. Spread the topping on the pre-baked base and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
  3. Goes in no time and is always a hit!
  4. Variation: replace almonds with shaved hazelnuts or desiccated coconut - or a mixture of all three!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
